Step 2 - The Rules!

Golf is a game governed by the Royal & Ancient St Andrews Golf Club, Scotland. It is best to download the rules from this source to be sure you always have the latest copy.

Mind you first and foremost golf is meant to be fun when playing with friends and the rules can be learnt later. However knowing golf's ettiquette towards others on the course and the course itself is a must when playing our game at any level. Golf stands apart from all other sports because of our regard for others.

For the beginner some points may need explaining by one of your so called expert friends.

The Royal & Ancient website awaits your visit where you can download the Rules on Golf and why our Amateur Status rules are in place.
